In the first 2 articles in this 3-part series, we talked about the 1st 2 keys to reimaging possibility and creating a juicy life you love and some tools you can use to start moving you forward. So before we jump into the 3rd key, which is the focus of today’s article, let’s review Keys #1 and #2.
I hope you are seeing a theme to our health goals. Everything ties back to what we put in our mouths and how we digest and assimilate it. Our friendly bacteria is our greatest ally to this endeavor. Actually, did you know that there are 10 times more bacteria cells in your body than all other human cells? Or think of it this way, we are 10% human and 90% bacteria. We are made up mostly of bacteria! Yet, bacteria is the thing we are taught to fear, and that we should prevent coming into contact with. This task, by the way woould be imposible.

Three Keys to Reimagining Possibility And Creating a Juicy Life You Love! Part 1 of 3
There has been a lot of talk about inflammation lately. I am so thrilled to see people gaining more awareness on this topic, as I think it is an often un-addressed root to many problems or at least a symptom of deeper underlying problems that need to be sussed out and addressed.
Heal your Gut
Last month I addressed the issue of poor digestion and offered suggestions to help boost your digestive power. "We are what we digest after all". Not only being able to break down your food but to have the power to properly absorb all those nutrients locked within your food is a vital part of our digestive process.
We all have heard the saying "you are what you eat". Well in Ayurvedic Medicine we say "you are what you digest".
Proper digestion is at the heart of Ayurveda. In this system of medicine the majority of disease and disorder arises originally by the faulty functioning of our GI tract.
Drink more water
If you are anything like me, you get busy in your day and forget to drink enough water. Our thirst mechanism is actually delayed. Once the symptoms of dry mouth or lips come up, we are usually past our bodies need for water.
Some simple facts:
We do not store water and need it replaced constantly.
Our bodies are comprised of 50-70% watery substance.
We lose about 2.5-3 liters of water a day for an average adult.
We need to replace this water daily.
The ancient science of Yoga is a simple, natural program involving Five Main Principles designed to slow the aging process and keep the physical and mental faculties strong and the spirit bright.
The Five Main Principles are:
1) Proper exercise
2) Proper breathing
3) Proper relaxation
4) Proper diet
