Yoga classes are inspired by Anusara
Yoga. This system balances elements of Alignment of the postures,
with a meditative all the while celebrating your uniqueness within
each pose. This is an all-inclusive yoga in which each student's
various unique abilities and limitations are deeply honored. For

Beginners
1
Traditional Hatha Yoga kept simple.
A slower paced class for those new to yoga or who need to take it
more slowly because of injuries or health concerns. A good class
to take for stress reduction. Classes will begin and end with relaxation
and breathing exercises to help reduce stress. Students are encouraged
to go at a slower pace if needed. Therapeutic issues can more easily
be addressed within this class.
Beginners

A challenging on-going class for
those who have done some yoga before, either at the center or through
formal classroom training elsewhere. Students should be familiar
with the Sun Salutation & some basic standing poses. We will
work on detailed alignment in the postures to continually improve
and grow your yoga practice. Thorough introduction into the yogic
breathing techniques (Pranayama) and relaxation techniques will
also be covered. It is best for students with injuries or health
concerns within the last 2 years should start in Beginners 1.
Intermediate
A faster paced on-going class
with a wider variety of poses. We will explore more intricate alignment.
A variety of Intermediate poses with a strong focus on Pranayama.
Inversions like Handstand and Headstand and their variations will
be practiced every class. We will also work with arm balancing,
more advanced backbends, seated forward bends and twists. Students
must know the basic Principles of Alignment of Anusara Yoga. A regular
asana practice is encouraged at this level.
Pre-Natal Yoga
A unique program for pregnant women
who are looking to prepare their body for childbirth. In this special
class, the emphasis is on opening the body through basic asanas(yoga
postures) that gently stretch and relax the body. This class is
for women in all stages of pregnancy and fitness levels. No prior
yoga experience necessary.
Family Yoga Class
- once a month workshop
Family members ages 4 and up are
invited to explore yoga during this creative one hour class. Come
play together in yoga poses that will encourage balance, strength,
flexibility and of course laughter!
