A slower paced class for those new to yoga or who need to take it more slowly because of injuries or health concerns. A good class to take for stress reduction. Classes will begin and end with relaxation and breathing exercises to help reduce stress. Students are encouraged to go at a slower pace if needed. Therapeutic issues can more easily be addressed within this class.
A challenging on-going class for those who have done yoga before or those more athletically inclined. More refined alignment in the postures will be given to continually improve and grow your practice. Strength building, backbends and inversions will begin in this class.
An adventurous class of challenging poses and variations. We heavily use the alignment principles of Anusara yoga to go deep in shifting and opening the body. A full spectrum class with lots of focus on inversions, arm balances and backbends.
An evening of exploration of the heart-felt philosophies behind yoga, followed by instruction and practice of meditation techniques. See the special events page for weekly topics of lectures.
Prop supported yoga poses held for 5-10 minutes. Focus is on breath and relaxation.
Restorative yoga is a healing rest that restores energy, reduces stress, and is deeply relaxing for mind body and soul. It is beneficial for all levels.
